Last month, I did a mini illustration each day based on a kanji word as my first daily art project. Even though it was a struggle on some days, it was loads of fun and such a great learning experience.
I drew lots of things that I had never drawn before, like a second-hand clothes shop, a cat shopping online and a stressed-out elf. It also pushed me to not just start a drawing every day, but also to complete it. I got to try out new Photoshop colouring techniques and brushes. I also learned a tiny bit of Japanese, which is great, because that was kind of the whole point in the first place!
Here's a round up of some of my faves:
You can see all the drawings using the hashtag #dailykanjidoodle on Instagram.
It's been nice to take a break from drawing and uploading for the last few days, but I'm already thinking about my next daily art project!
